"He let me ride on his shoulder just like my dad. But he's better looking, he's not a bad guy, really."
—Xiao Long about Si[src]

Wang Xiao Long (Chinese: 王小龍; pinyin: Wáng Xiǎolóng) was the child of Dong Shan Cai's neighbor. His mother asked Shan Cai to babysit him. She brought Xiao Long to meet Dao Ming Si, whom was initially angry about her bringing him along. The three of them went to the zoo, where they had a nice time despite Shan Cai and Si arguing again.

Biography[]

At-the-Zoo

Xiao Long at the zoo with Shan Cai and Si

Shan Cai: "Why don't the three of us spend the day together?"
Si: "With this imp? No way!"
Xiao Long: "Not with this old fart."
— Xiao Long and Si argue while Shan Cai tries to compromise[src]

One day in 2001, Xiao Long's mother brought him to the Dongs' home to be babysat by Ah Yue. However, Dong Shan Cai was the only one home. She agreed to babysit Xiao Long and brought him along to meet Dao Ming Si. He became angry at Shan Cai for bringing him, leading Xiao Long to call him names. They argued until Shan Cai told them to "shut up." Xiao Long then said that he wanted to go to the zoo. Si came along reluctantly. When Xiao Long complained about being tired, Si picked him up and carried him on his shoulder. Xiao Long eventually fell asleep in his arms. He woke up when Si and Shan Cai began arguing. Xiao Long asked if they argued because of him, but she assured him that was not the case. She then walked him back home, telling him not to grow up to be like Si.[1]

Physical appearance[]

Xiao Long was a young child, likely being between the ages of five to eight. He had short black hair and dark brown eyes. Xiao Long was only seen wearing a T-shirt featuring the character Winnie the Pooh along with blue shorts.

Personality and traits[]

His personality was shown to be somewhat similar to Si's, such as having a short temper. He accused Si of not having manners, despite he himself calling Si an "old fart." Xiao Long, however, was just a typical child. To Shan Cai, he acted nice and placid. Once Si had been to kind to him, Xiao Long warmed up to him.

Etymology[]

Wang (王) is common Chinese surname.[2] It can mean "king," "monarch," etc.[3] His given name is Xiao Long (小龍). The first character means "small" or "little,"[4] and the second has several meanings, including referring to a Chinese or western dragon.[5]
