Voltage Inc. (株式会社ボルテージ () Kabushiki Gaisha Borutēji) is a game, internet content, and computer software developer. The company was established in September 1999 and is currently headquartered at Ebisu Garden Place in Shibuya, Tokyo.[1] Voltage primarily focuses on mobile content, including otome games for women. Their target demographic are women between the ages of 13 and 34.[2]

In 2015, Voltage developed an otome game, Hana Yori Dango: F4 and First Kiss, based on the popular manga. Its service was terminated two years later in 2017.

History with Boys Over Flowers[]

On May 20, 2015, Voltage announced the development of Hana Yori Dango: F4 and First Kiss, a "romance drama" app based on the popular manga Boys Over Flowers.[3][4] The app was released on July 3.[5] Voltage showcased the game at the Tokyo Game Show in September[6] and at the Animate Girls Festival in November.[7] They also launched the popular Hana Yori Dango Café in October,[8] which concluded in January 2016.[9] On July 3, 2017, Voltage announced their plans to close the app. Its service was officially terminated on December 18.[10]
