Just realized I've never written on a blog on this wiki. Now's a good a time as any I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hanadan-Season-2

I'll miss these guys.

On Twitter, Yoko Kamio revealed that she was going to end Season 2 after a few more chapters. If volume fourteen has chapters 96-103 in it, I'm guessing the series has maybe four chapters to go. Though it could be three if there are only seven chapters in volume fourteen (It comes out on November 1 so we'll know then). My heart instantly dropped out of chest the moment I read the news. I was surprised but not surprised at the same time, you know?

Season 2 has always moved at a faster pace than Boys Over Flowers, but I kinda thought it would go on for longer. However, I've also had a sneaking suspicion that the series was wrapping up since Tsukushi's reappearance. Looking back on the story just before that, you can see Kamio tying up loose ends (i.e. Oto's dad, Kaito and Airi, Tenma happy in LA). SPOILER: And she finally tied up the last end by having Haruto meet his hero, Tsukasa. T_T

As sad as it is, I'm find with the series ending at this point. I've become really fond of these characters and I think this will be a nice way to leave them, instead of dragging on and on forever (no offense BOF). I'm predicting Season 2 will end with a big bash kind of like the F4's prom at the end of BOF. I hope Kamio will give us a glimpse of the minor characters (Megumi please!) as well. I don't think this will be the last time we see Oto and the Correct 5, or Tsukushi and the F4. Kamio has returned to BOF several times in one-shots and I'm guessing she will do so again in the distant future.

The series ending is strangely good news for a possible second season of the drama version. This gives it a clear ending, instead of making up one and angering fans. The timing is also right considering Hana Yori Dango and Returns were produced about a little over a year apart. I really hope this happens as I was a bit disappointed about the open ended way they left it. I'm also wondering whether international versions could be made. Both the Taiwanese and Korean, or even the Chinese, versions are popular enough for a spin-off.
