"That old boyfriend is no more than a memory to me now. Tsukushi, it's strange... The girl I was then, is still here inside, and she scolds me. "Why didn't you try harder?" she asks."
Tsubaki has moved on but still has regrets[src]

This individual was the former boyfriend of Domyoji Group heiress Tsubaki Domyoji. They began dating during high school, but were ultimately split up due to her arranged marriage.

Biography[]

He was the son of an ordinary office worker. In high school, he began dating Tsubaki Domyoji. They felt deeply for one another, though she later described it as "young love." While they were dating, Tsubaki's mother arranged for her to marry a hotel heir. Tsubaki ran away several times to be with her boyfriend but was "dragged back" each time. Her mother eventually threatened to stop doing business with the company his father worked for. Their relationship ended and Tsubaki went on to marry the hotel heir.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Character notes

  • He is only shown in a flashback in chapter one hundred and seventeen, though his existence is hinted at before.
  • Though he is never revealed in the anime, Tsubaki's past with him is vaguely alluded to.
