Time Slip! Toei Animation 80s-90s Girls (タイムスリップ! 東映アニメーション 80s~90s GIRLS) is a book published by Media Pal on March 19, 2016.[2] The book focuses on Toei Animation's female-centric productions during the 1980s and 1990s for its sixtieth anniversary.[3] An equivalent book for shonen series was published the same day.[4]

The book features a section on the Boys Over Flowers anime, including interviews with creator Yoko Kamio, producer Hiromi Seki, and art director Yukie Yuki. Marmalade Boy, Gokinjo Monogatari among others are also highlighted.[4]

Sixteen of Toei Animation's productions aimed at a shojo audience are highlighted in the book. The series were all created in the 1980s and 1990s. The featured works are Boys Over Flowers, Gokinjo Monogatari, Goldfish Warning!, Himitsu no Akko-chan, Lady Lady!!, Lalabel, Little Memole, Majokko Megu-chan, Maple Town, Marmalade Boy, Ojamajo Doremi, Patalliro!, Phantom Thief Jeanne, Sailor Moon, Sally the Witch, and Yume no Crayon Oukoku.

Yoko Kamio was interviewed about Boys Over Flowers alongside producer Hiromi Seki and art director Yukie Yuki.[5] Seki was also interviewed with Ai Yazawa and Rumi Shishido for Gokinjo Monogatari, and Wataru Yoshizumi for Marmalade Boy.[1] The original authors and anime staff for the other series were also interviewed.[6]
