"The Woman in My Life!" (
Tsukasa Domyoji invites Tsukushi Makino to his birthday party. At first, she is only worried about what to give him as a present. However, after learning about Tsukasa's mother, Tsukushi becomes nervous and accidentally causes a scene.
Plot[]
Thinking of Tsukasa Domyoji, Tsukushi Makino wonders "Him... my boyfriend?" Her mother, meanwhile, starts cutting her hair. Going over her conversation with the F4, Tsukushi thinks "I may not be able to run from him anymore." Tsukushi then suddenly shouts "I hate this!," which startles her mother whom thinks she is talking to her. Her mother takes comfort in her husband's arms. Tsukushi looks at herself in the mirror and yells "It looks awful!" Meanwhile at Tsukasa's house, Akira Mimasaka tells him "You recover as fast as a dog." He becomes instantly annoyed, thinking of the dog comment Tsukushi previously made. Tsukasa says "I get beaten up by twerps and the girl I tried to protect calls me a dog!"
At school, Yuriko Asai tells her friends that the "red slip Tsukushi got was [not] from the F4." She adds "I wouldn't mind giving her a red card, myself." Tsukushi steps in front of her and yells "Well, why don't you?" The girls are struck speechless for a moment, before bursting into laughter. Tsukushi later bumps into Sojiro Nishikado, who does not recognize her at first. Akira laughs, comparing her hair to that of Kintaro. Rui Hanazawa offers to cut it for her, which she reluctantly accepts. They go to the emergency stairwell, where he begins layering her hair using a box cutter. She asks about Tsukasa, who Rui says has been released from the hospital. He then tells her "We grew up together, but I've never seen [Tsukasa] like that."
Tsukasa discovers Rui and Tsukushi at the emergency exit. Though somewhat suspicious, he sits down calmly and tells them that he was bored at his house. Rui leaves shortly after saying "I haven't told her about the party." Tsukasa informs Tsukushi about his birthday party next Sunday, adding "Come with a present." He also tells her to "dress up" since his mother and sister will be there. At work, Yuki Matsuoka exclaims "It's like you're his fiancée!" when Tsukushi tells her about it. Tsukushi becomes annoyed, instead focusing on present ideas. Yuki suggests for her to bake something. That Sunday, Tsukushi walks to Tsukasa's house. With a glance at the cars and people, she turns around but the F4 stop her.
Seeing Sojiro, Akira, and Rui, Tsukushi says "Why are you so dressed up?" They see the dress she is wearing and begin talking with one another, saying things like "This is no good." The guys drag her to Tsubaki Domyoji and ask for her to lend Tsukushi an outfit. Tsubaki says "But she looks cute as-is" until they remind her of her mother. Tsubaki grabs her hand, but Tsukushi has little hope of her clothes fitting because of their "completely different heights and body types." Meanwhile, Kaede Domyoji closely inspects the party, ordering a waiter to clean some glasses again. She says "Nothing must go wrong at a Domyoji party." In Tsubaki's closet, Tsukushi tries on two ill-fitting outfits.
Tsukushi asks "Why do I have to dress up like this?" The guys say in unison "Tsukasa's mother is really scary!" Tsubaki goes on "If she finds out that Tsukasa's invited a girl, well..." until Sojiro interrupts "She'll appraise you as a potential fiancée." Tsukushi tries to leave, but Sojiro and Akira hold her back. Sojiro explains about arranged marriages, asking her to pretend for the day since her relationship with Tsukasa is impossible anyway. Entering the party, Tsukushi tries to act normal around Tsukasa. His mother watches before approaching them. Intimidated by her, Tsukushi accidentally knocks over a glass, drawing people's attention. Tsukasa then tells his mother "This is the most important woman in my life."
