"The Tulip Mania" is the sixth episode of the Thai drama, F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers. It aired on January 29, 2022 on GMM 25. The episodes features guest roles by Chanagun Arpornsutinan and Luke Ishikawa Plowden. It was followed by episode seven, "The Four Flowers," on February 5.
Gorya and Thyme go on a double date with Kaning and her boyfriend, Tesla. It ends in disaster, causing a huge misunderstanding between Thyme and Gorya. Meanwhile, Ren has returned from France completely changed.
Plot[]
While away on business, Roselyn questions Tia about Gorya and orders her to "Take care of it." Meanwhile, Gorya feels "uneasy" about how different Ren seems. Kaning advises her to find a moment to talk to him. Gorya then sees a video of Ren with a girl on her phone, startling her. Later at school, Thyme interrupts an assembly to have Gorya meet him in the hall. He complains about her not answering his calls and gives her a new phone. Once she finally accepts, he mentions going on a date on Saturday. Gorya refuses but Thyme ignores her. Afterwards, Gorya goes up to the roof to find Ren. He teases her about Thyme, suggesting they "date behind his back." Gorya quickly returns his handkerchief and walks away.
At work, Gorya complains to Kaning and Gawao about Thyme. She feels that she cannot say no to his date. Kaning suggests a double date with her and her boyfriend, Tesla. Gorya calls Thyme to ask, but he stubbornly refuses. Thyme calls back shortly over video chat. He agrees to the double date if she asks nicely. Though extremely annoyed, Gorya says what he wants her to say. A few moments later, Tia walks into the shop. Riding in Tia's car, Gorya talks to her about her upcoming date with Thyme and how Ren has changed. Tia assures her that change is "normal," using Thyme as an example. She then tells Gorya to come to her if there is ever any trouble. Gorya has the car pull over and waves goodbye to Tia.
Gorya sees Ren standing by Mira's advertisement. As Gorya is asking him about what happened with Mira, the advertisement goes away. Not going into detail, Ren tells Gorya that Mira was happy to see him and thanks her again. He then leans down to fix her shoe. Gorya leaves to catch her bus, not noticing that she has dropped her phone. Back home, Glakao receives a call from Thyme and brings the phone to Gorya. He asks about her phone, which she claims that she left a work. They then agree on a meeting place. Later that night, Thyme visits Ren for advice on his outfit. He asks Ren what happened in France. Ren ignores him, instead picking out a shirt. Thyme then finds Gorya's phone and Ren reveals that they met earlier.
The next day at the zoo, Tesla quickly rubs Thyme the wrong way, though he somehow manages to remain calm. Eventually, Kaning proposes that they split up for the time being. Now alone, Gorya thanks Thyme for being patient. Deciding to make things clear, she then tells him that they are not a couple. Thyme replies "I know" but promises to ask again in the future. He is about to return her phone until she lies and says that she lost it on the bus. On his way to the bathroom, Thyme overhears Tesla on the phone. Tesla angers him by asking if he can have Gorya next. Hearing the commotion, Gorya races to Thyme and pulls him off Tesla. Thyme drags her away. The two then argue about him being violent.
In the morning, Kavin and MJ calm down Thyme and tell him to make up with Gorya. Later at school, Gorya overhears everyone gossiping. Upon seeing the source, she promptly takes off. Thyme is playing basketball with Kavin and MJ when he sees Gorya running and goes after her. Kavin then pulls out his phone and views a gossip video talking about Mira being with an actor. On the roof, Gorya apologizes to Ren for having him follow Mira. Ren talks about his time in France, revealing that he left after realizing "Love is not enough." He then calls himself "worthless." Gorya yells at him for saying such, reminding him of the times he has helped her. Ren then holds a sobbing Gorya unaware of Thyme watching nearby.
