Shinhwa Group (신화그룹) is a powerful South Korean chaebol (conglomerate). It is involved a number of markets, including electronics, oil refining, automobiles, and telecommunications. The company is extremely well-known amongst Koreans. Shinhwa's former head opened Shinhwa School upon reaching ten billion won in exports. The school was an "unprecedented" undertaking at the time. Gu Jun-pyo, son of chairwoman Kang Hee-soo, is the current successor of the company.[1]
