Naoki Miyashita (宮下 直紀 (みやした なおき) Miyashita Naoki, born January 11, 1972 in Tokyo, Japan) is the voice of Tsukasa Domyoji in the Boys Over Flowers anime and the movie. Miyashita debuted as an actor in 1987 and was a singer in the early 1990s. Now he is no longer active in the entertainment business.

Early life[]

Miyashita was born January 11, 1972 in Tokyo, Japan.[1] He graduated from Nakano Senior High School.

Career[]

He debuted on Fujiko Fujio no Yume Kamera in 1987.[2] In 1990, he landed his first leading role in the film adaptation of Nozomi Witches. Miyashita went on to voice Tsukasa Domyoji in the Boys Over Flowers anime in 1996 through 1997.[3] He was previously a member of the soccer team, The Miira (ザ・ミイラ () ), until its disbandment in 2016.[4]

Miyashita has been inactive since his last role in 2011. He currently works for WA Holdings.

  • Miyashita and his costar Maki Mochida share a birthday, though he is three years older.
  • Author Yoko Kamio watched one of the voice acting sessions. She was impressed with Miyashita when he had Yuta Mochizuki hold him back in order for a scene to sound right.[5]
  • Miyashita participated with Kamio, Mochida, Koji Yamamoto, and Tomohiko Kikuta in an audience preview of the Boys Over Flowers anime in 1996.[6]
  • In 1997, Kamio had lunch with him, Mochida, and Yamamoto. The three "[got] along so well" that the author felt it was "like watching Tsukushi, Tsukasa, and Rui interacting." Kamio also described Miyashita as the "leader type" and like someone out of a shojo manga.[7]
  • Miyashita, Mochida, and Yamamoto were interviewed together for the 2006 anime DVD release.[8]
