Meteor Rain (Chinese: 流星雨; pinyin: Liúxīng Yǔ) is the debut album of the Taiwanese boy band, F4. It was released by Sony Music on August 28, 2001. Three songs from the album were featured in the miniseries, Meteor Rain, including the theme song "Liu Xing Yu."
Meteor Rain was the debut album of the mandopop quartet F4. It was released on August 28, 2001 by Sony Music Taiwan. Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, and Vanness Wu formed the F4 after gaining recognition playing the fictional F4 in Meteor Garden (2001).[1] The album included "Liu Xing Yu" which became a popular song for the group.[2]Meteor Rain had over 100,000 pre-orders.[3] It ended up selling over 200,000 copies just a few days after its release.[4]
A preview of the title track, "Liu Xing Yu," played during the behind the scenes segment of the finale of Meteor Garden. The same song served as the theme for Meteor Rain (2001). "Ni Bu Ai Wo Ai Shui," performed by Wu, and Chu's "Here We Are" are also featured in the series during their centric episodes. In 2018, "Liu Xing Yu" was used in the Meteor Garden remake and included on its soundtrack.
