Meteor Garden F4 Music Party Concert (Chinese: 流星花園F4 Music Party 演唱会; pinyin: Liúxīng Huāyuán F4 Music Party Yǎnchàng Huì) was a two-night concert by F4. It was their first concert and featured music from their first album, Meteor Rain. The concert took place from October 20 to 21, 2001 at the Neihu Super Dome in Taipei, Taiwan.
Another edition of the concert was held in Singapore on January 27, 2002.
Background[]
A month after their first album was released, F4's first concert was announced in late September 2001.[1] Tickets went on sale on September 29.[2] By early October, eighty percent of the tickets for the first day were sold and sixty percent for the second.[3] Organizers spent eight million New Taiwan dollars on the set and stage. F4's stylists were sent to New York City to obtain costumes. On October 13, F4 began rehearsing for the concert.[4] F4 performed songs from their album, Meteor Rain, as well as a few cover songs. Vic Chou, a fan of Andy Lau, chose two songs of Lau's to perform.[5] Harlem Yu and pianist Chen Guan Yu were invited as special guests.[6] Additionally, Barbie Hsu and Edward Ou were surprise guests.[7] After the second performance, the concert organizers held a banquet for F4.[8]
A second edition of the concert, just called F4 Music Party Concert, was held in Singapore at the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre on January 27, 2002. Ken Chu, whom had grown up in Singapore, greeted the crowd in Singaporean English.[9][10]
