"Hey, F4. Quit acting so hot. Who do you think you are?"
This individual was a friend and neighbor of Junpei Oribe. He attended Eitoku Academy during middle school. One day, he decided to challenge the F4 per Junpei's advice. Tsukasa Domyoji ended up badly injuring him.
His family lived near Junpei Oribe's family. While attending Eitoku Academy during middle school, he became a brother figure to Junpei. He told Junpei about the F4, whom he called an "awful gang." Junpei encouraged him to confront them, saying "They couldn't beat you!" He ended up challenging the F4, which resulted in Tsukasa Domyoji kicking him in the stomach so much that his intestines ruptured. His family wanted to sue, but Tsukasa's father "hush[ed] things up."[1] He transferred schools and his family moved to Kobe.[2]
Personality and traits[]
Junpei described him as "like a brother to [him]" and someone who was good. He had a sense of justice, believing that the F4's actions were wrong. Ultimately, he was a bit foolhardy. He challenged the F4 without a real plan, despite expressing desires to "bring them down."
In chapter fifteen of the manga, Sojiro Nishikado mentions someone whom Tsukasa nearly killed during middle school. It is possible that this individual was Junpei's friend.
In Meteor Garden (2001), he is alluded to in episode eight and directly mentioned in episode nine. He befriended Xiao Shun (Junpei) after saving him from drowning. Like in the manga, he previously attended Ying De Academy (Eitoku) and was severely injured by Si (Tsukasa). He transferred to a school in southern Taiwan. Xiao Shun later gets revenge for him on Si. Additionally, he may also be the person mentioned in episode three of Meteor Garden (2001) and the politician's son in episode three of Meteor Rain (2002).
In the Boys Over Flowers anime (1997), he is mentioned as being Junpei's brother instead of a friend. He only appears in two flashbacks, being voiced by Hitoshi Honma in one. In "Tsukasa Won't Come...?," Junpei mentions his brother "changed" after the incident with Tsukasa. Junpei gets revenge for his brother by hurting Tsukasa. He also mentions that his brother is going to school in Kobe.
