List of Hana Yori Dango episodes

Hana Yori Dango is a Japanese drama adaptation of Yoko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers. The series aired in late 2005 on TBS.^[1] It was followed by Hana Yori Dango Returns (2007),^[2] Hana Yori Dango Final (2008),^[3] and Hana Nochi Hare (2018).^[4]

Tsukushi Makino decides to stop following the status quo of Eitoku Academy when her friend Sakurako Sanjo angers F4's leader, Tsukasa Domyoji. His anger then transfers to Tsukushi. Unable to take the bullying any longer, Tsukushi ends up punching Tsukasa.

Tsukasa kidnaps Tsukushi and asks her to be his girlfriend, which she refuses. Rui Hanazawa, who Tsukushi has a crush on, welcomes his first love, Shizuka Todo, back to Tokyo. At her welcoming party, Tsukushi accidentally kisses Tsukasa.

Shizuka decides to return to France in order to go after her dreams. Tsukushi encourages him to follow her which he does. Meanwhile, Tsukasa's sister Tsubaki comes to town and gives him some advice on pursuing Tsukushi. He later asks her on a date, but Tsukushi is not quite sure what he meant.

A photo of Tsukushi and Tsukasa together is taken, after they spend the night together in a broken-down elevator. She becomes popular with her classmates now that they think she is dating Tsukasa. They take her to a club, where passes out after a stranger gives her a drink.

Photos of Tsukushi and the stranger from the club are spread around school. Tsukasa believes that she has betrayed him, despite her pleas. Sakurako attempts to seduce Tsukasa to no avail and seeks her revenge by kidnapping Tsukushi. Tsukasa allows himself to be beaten by Sakurako's goons in order to protect Tsukushi.

Rui returns home from France. Tsukasa lies to him and says that he and Tsukushi are dating. Meanwhile, Tsubaki visits to keep her mother from interfering and warn Tsukushi and Tsukasa. The two later go on a double date with Yuki Matsuoka and her boyfriend, which ends in disaster.

Tsukushi and Tsukasa's fight gets worse when he sees her hugging Rui. She later goes on an awkward date with Rui. That night, Yuki sees her boyfriend with a girl. Sojiro Nishikado sees Yuki crying and helps her get revenge on him. The F4 later make up after a full-on brawl.

Tsukushi's family experiences financial issues, which she later finds out is Tsukasa's mother's fault. After confronting her, she runs into Tsukasa for the first time in a while. They then meet with his sister, who suggests she enter the TOJ for the prize money.

Tsukushi competes against Tsukasa's arranged fiancé Ayano Kurimaki. Tsukasa makes a wager with his mother, promising to go to school in New York if Tsukushi loses. Despite making it to the final round, she loses to Ayano. The next day, she rushes to meet Tsukasa before he leaves Japan.
