Hana Nochi Hare filming locations

Hana Nochi Hare: Hanadan Next Season was filmed mostly in and around Tokyo, Japan. One of the major filming locations was Seikei University, where Eitoku Academy was shot. Other notable locations are Soka University, Jingu Museum, British Hills, and Yebisu Garden Place.

Notes

• In the original manga, Oto works at Dowson, a reference to Lawson. The drama changes the location to FamilyMart, another popular convenience store chain. For a short period, while the drama was airing, FamilyMart held a tie-in special campaign at their stores.
• Instead of a large mansion, the Hase family lives in a luxurious condominium on the upper floors in the drama.
• In the manga, Haruto's and Tenma's competition takes place in Kyoto while the drama changes it to Tokyo. Also, instead of Shijo Ohashi Bridge, Haruto asks Oto to meet him at Yebisu Garden Place.
• Hana Nochi Hare references Hana Yori Dango (2005) and Hana Yori Dango Returns (2007) by filming at Seikei University, British Hills, and Yebisu Garden Place.
• Oto's apartment is a popular spot for filming, due to its easy to film location and its pre-war origins.
