"F4 Thailand Begins" (Thai: เปิดหัวใจรักสี่ดวงดาว) is a special episode of F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers. It aired on December 11, 2021 on GMM25. The episode contains behind the scenes content, such as interviews with the director and main cast. The special was followed by the premiere of F4 Thailand on December 18.
The special foremost follows director Patha Thongpan as he describes his thoughts about adapting F4 Thailand. The four main actors are each interviewed. They relate the details of their characters and how they are similar or dissimilar.

The episode has interviews of F4 Thailand director Patha Thongpan, followed by the main actors Vachirawit Chivaaree, Tontawan Tantivejakul, Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, Jirawat Sutivanichsak, and Hirunkit Changkham. Weaved throughout the episode are primarily scenes and sound bites from the trailer. New scenes are also featured, particularly ones of the supporting cast, as well as behind the scenes footage. The special ends by playing the F4 Thailand trailer.
Interviews
- Patha Thongpan: Firstly, he relates how he accepted the project. He then talks about the steps he took to develop the story and characters. Before each cast member's interview, Thongpan discusses casting the actor, his first impression of them, and other aspects of their character. Towards the end, he also talks about some of the actors in the supporting cast.
- Vachirawit Chivaaree: He is first asked his thoughts on the opportunity to play Thyme, to which he describes feeling many emotions. Chivaaree talks about his character at length and how he feels that Thyme is very different from the other versions. He also feels that Thyme is quite different from himself. At the end, Chivaaree asks the audience to "have sympathy of Thyme."
- Metawin Opas-iamkajorn: Opas-iamkajorn describes the details of his character, Kavin, and how he gradually grew to understand him better. He also describes Kavin as a "challenge" for him. For his role, Opas-imakajorn learned how to make garlands and also had fun doing action sequences. He asks the audience to "support Kavin" as it is a role he really wants to show everyone.
- Jirawat Sutivanichsak: After describing his character Ren, Sutivanichsak discusses being happy just for being able to for F4 Thailand. During the first shooting, he felt tense and lost confidence. However, after a while, he felt much closer to Ren and it began to feel natural. Sutivanichsak was also able to display his drawing skills through his character.
- Hirunkit Changkham: Changkham describes his character, MJ, as having "a lot of energy," which he feels he does not have. He says that one thing that he and his character have in common is that they both really care about their friends. Changkham learned how to ride a bike for his role, which intimidated him at first. Lastly, he asks for people to "save a little space in [their] heart for MJ."
- Tontawan Tantivejakul: She feels that both she and Gorya are both "optimistic" and "strong mentally," and that Gorya helped her become stronger in that regard. However, unlike Gorya, Tantivejakul feels that she is not very "diligent" towards her family. She also enjoyed acting with her television family, describing the dynamic as almost like a real family. During Chivaaree's and Sutivanichsak's segments, Tantivejakul describes working with them.
