The fortieth episode (第四十集) of the Chinese television series, Meteor Garden aired on August 20, 2018 after episode thirty-nine. It was followed by episode forty-one of the series on August 21.

Dao Ming Si's family is facing a business crisis. He agrees to stop seeing Dong Shan Cai. When she finally finds Si in London, he refuses her help and asks her to leave. Hua Ze Lei, meanwhile, arrives in London to find Shan Cai.
