The eighteenth episode (第18集), also known as "Chapter Eighteen" (Chapter 拾捌), of Meteor Garden first aired on August 9, 2001 in Taiwan. The episode was followed by the final episode on August 16.
Xiao You spends her last night with Xi Men before moving to Canada with her family. Later, Dao Ming Feng makes preparations for Si and He Yuan Zi to marry. In order to follow through with these plans, she has to lock him in his room to keep him apart from Dong Shan Cai.
Plot[]
Xi Men invites Xiao You to a hotel in an attempt to "scare" her. He stops before actually doing anything and tells her to "cherish" herself. Xiao You expresses the seriousness of her feelings to Xi Men and then reveals that her family is moving to Canada tomorrow. They spend the night laying next to each other. Meanwhile, Dong Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si are both having a sleepless night now that he is living next door. Shan Cai wakes up makes breakfast for Si in the morning, but finds his house empty. At school, she overhears him complaining about his dingy home to Mei Zuo. Shan Cai then receives a call from Xiao You, who says goodbye and apologizes for not telling her that she was moving earlier.
Later that day, Xi Men visits the bakery where Xiao You previously worked and thinks of her. He declines to go out with Mei Zuo and then begins deleting several girls' numbers from his cell phone, except for Xiao You's. A few days later, Shan Cai notices that Si has not come by lately and feels sad about it. She ends up waiting outside his house to see if he shows up. When he does, the two begin bickering. He takes her home and she finally admits that she missed him. Meanwhile, an ominous black car passes by her home. In New York, Yu Tian reports to Dao Ming Feng that they believe Si has purchased the home next to Shan Cai's. Feng, seemingly calm, declares "Let's stop wasting my time" and then "We'll call off our plan."
Later, Si and Shan Cai meet in secret for a date. They go to a restaurant, where all of his credit card's are declined and Shan Cai has to pay. Si suspects that his mother is "taking action," but Shan Cai tries to suggest another reason. She then tries to cheer him up by inviting him on a "commoners' date." In New York, Yu Tian delivers an airline ticket to Feng. Just before the end of their date, Si senses something but does not tell Shan Cai. He receives several calls from Mei Zuo but ignores them. After walking Shan Cai home, Si is approached by a group of men. He secretly calls Mei Zuo who overhears him being taken away. The next day, Shan Cai waits for Si to eat lunch together but he never shows.
After Si's strange phone call, Mei Zuo and Xi Men are worried about Si. They talk to Shan Cai and then Chen Qing He, who reveals that Si has been expelled from school. At Si's house, Xi Men and Mei Zuo are barred from seeing him. Ms. Yu hands them something from Si, which turns out to be a wedding invitation for Si and He Yuan Zi. They regroup at Shan Cai's house and begin brainstorming about what has happened. Hua Ze Lei then arrives, wanting to help Si and Shan Cai. The next day, the F3 meet with Xiao Zi, who reveals that the marriage is being forced on them by their parents. Meanwhile, Si is refusing to eat and drink and has to be sedated. That night, the F3 sneak into the mansion with Ms. Yu's help.
Using Ms. Yu's map, the F3 are able to make it to Si's room. Unfortunately, they are caught immediately since Feng is in the room. Ms. Yu attempts to cover for them, but Feng sees through her. She tells her it is time for her retire and takes her keys, before forcing Xi Men, Mei Zuo, and Lei out of the mansion. They return to Shan Cai's home and begin to think of their next move. Qing He mentions Si's sister and Mei Zuo immediately calls her. In the morning, Ms. Yu begs Si to eat something, but he continues to refuse. Meanwhile, Xiao Zi visits Shan Cai and asks her to convince Si to eat. Shan Cai agrees without hesitation, reasoning that Si was always the one to come after her first and now it is her turn.

- The first half of the episode covers the "Tsukasa Lives Alone Arc" while the latter part is an original story.
- Part of this episode and the following may have been influenced by the last two episodes of the anime, "Time to Call It Quits" and "Neverending." Both series' ended before the manga's conclusion and thus created original endings.
- Xiao You departs for Canada in this episode, but returns for episode two of Meteor Rain.
- After Xi Men and Xiao You say goodbye, scenes of their interactions from episodes thirteen, seventeen, and the current episode are replayed.
- Si reveals that he learned karate, aikido, and judo as a child to avoid being potentially kidnapped.
- Mei Zuo mentions Si's butler, Liu, whom has not appeared since episode six.
- Lei returns to Taiwan after being in Japan since episode sixteen.
- Ms. Yu gives the F3 a wedding invitation for Si and Xiao Zi with a doctored photo. A partial date is visible, "Friday 23." According to this and the timeline, their wedding most likely would have taken place in November.

- A brief scene is filmed in front of the fast food chain, McDonald's. The same location is used in the following episode and episode one of Meteor Rain.

- One of the girls' numbers that Xi Men deletes from his phone is named Rainie, which is the name of the actress who portrays Xiao You.
