Episode 11 (第11集), also titled "Chapter Eleven" (Chapter 拾壹), is the eleventh episode of the Taiwanese drama, Meteor Garden. It originally aired on June 21, 2001 on CTS. The episode was followed by the twelfth installment on June 28.
After He Yuan Zi and Dao Ming Si start dating, she frequently visits Dong Shan Cai for advice. Later, Shan Cai and Hua Ze Lei accompany Xiao Zi and Si to a hot spring. Lei comforts Shan Cai, who will not admit that the situation bothers her.
Plot[]
Dong Shan Cai returns home from work to find He Yuan Zi waiting outside for her. She reveals that Dao Ming Si has asked to date her. Shan Cai congratulates her. The following day, Xi Men and Mei Zuo are puzzled by Si's sudden change of heart. Chen Qing He then congratulates him. Si thinks to himself "Everything has come to an end." Later, Xiao Zi and Si meet for their first date. He acts standoffish, which irritates Xiao Zi. She tells him that he needs to try harder to be a good boyfriend and he reluctantly agrees. Yu Tian later makes a report to Dao Ming Feng about Si and Xiao Zi's relationship as well as her friendship with Shan Cai. Feng is annoyed, suspecting that Shan Cai is "scheming" to get Si back.
Sometime later, Xiao Zi asks Shan Cai to meet. She complains about Si not being affectionate. Shan Cai feels uncomfortable with the subject, but she does not voice her feelings. She instead assures Xiao Zi that their relationship seems to be going well. At school, Shan Cai asks Hua Ze Lei to speak to Si about treating Xiao Zi better. He refuses to interfere, saying that it is up to them whether their relationship works out. They overhear Xiao Zi and Si from a distance. Xiao Zi tells him to kiss her to prove that he no longer cares for Shan Cai. He does so reluctantly. After seeing them kiss, Shan Cai pretends to be happy for them but Lei sees right through her. Qing He later comforts Shan Cai when she appears depressed.
After school, Shan Cai joins Lei at a café when she happens to walk past. Lei mentions wanting to visit a hot spring. Xiao Zi and Si then walk up and join the pair. She invites Lei and Shan Cai to her family's villa. Lei accepts the invitation after learning it has a hot spring. Shan Cai's attempt to decline goes unheard. Meanwhile, Yu Tian informs Feng about the trip. She speculates on why Shan Cai and Lei tagged along. At the villa, Shan Cai suddenly faints in the hot spring. Xiao Zi screams for help and Si rushes pass her to save Shan Cai, but Lei already has her. Shan Cai later wakes up in her and Lei's shared room. She wants to ask for another room but Lei stops her since they may be in the middle of something.
Si questions Xiao Zi about going along with their parents' wishes. She becomes upset, asking if he wants "choose [his] own spouse" Xiao Zi then takes off her robe. Meanwhile, Shan Cai asks to hold Lei's hand. He cheers her up by lightening the mood. Si tells Xiao Zi to put her robe back on and apologizes before confessing that he still likes Shan Cai. Xiao Zi begins throwing things, which alerts Shan Cai. She opens their door and sees Xiao Zi on Si's lap. Shan Cai rushes back to her room. Si tells Xiao Zi to hit him until she is satisfied, but she cries instead. The next morning, Si leaves before everyone else. Xiao Zi decides to stay behind. She lies to Shan Cai, making it seem like something happened between her and Si.
As they are leaving, Lei encourages Shan Cai to cry. She leans on his back and finally does so. At home, she finds her mother and father packing. They reveal that they are moving to a fishing village, where her father will become a fisherman. Shan Cai is sad to be apart from her parents, who wish for her to continue her studies. Meanwhile, Xiao Zi asks her mother to break off her engagement to Si. She later visits Shan Cai to inform her of this and also admits that she lied. Xiao Zi hopes that they can remain friends. Shan Cai agrees and Xiao Zi hugs her. Meanwhile, Si confronts his mother about ending the engagement. He questions whether the family business or his happiness is more important to her.
