Chapter 9 (第9花 () , Chapter 9), also titled Episode 9 (9話 () , Episode 9), is a chapter of Boys Over Flowers Season 2 by Yoko Kamio. The chapter was published on July 26, 2015 on Shonen Jump+ and Viz Media's website. It was preceded by chapter eight and followed by chapter ten.

Haruto Kaguragi suddenly finds himself talking to Oto Edogawa at her job. Oto's coworker, Arisa Konno interrupts them, before Haruto almost passes out from hunger. She takes them to her apartment, where Oto prepares a meal.

Plot

After Haruto Kaguragi asks "Won't I do?", Oto Edogawa seems confused by the question and answers "Won't you do? For what?" Her coworker, Arisa Konno comes outside right before Haruto falls down. He begins complaining about his stomach, mentioning that he has not eaten for a day. Oto suggests for him to call a servant to pick him up, but he refuses. Konno invites them to go over to her apartment, which is close by. Oto questions why she has to come along too.

At Konno's apartment, Haruto and Oto are almost left speechless by the messiness. Oto hits Haruto, when he attempts to call it a "pigsty". Konno suggests for Oto to cook something, which she reluctantly agrees to. Her coworker immediately leaves to purchase drinks from a corner store. Oto decides to take the opportunity to ask him about his question. She then assumes that he "comparing [him]self to him" and tells him that "nothing good will come of it". To Haruto's shock, Oto is speaking of Tsukasa Domyoji not the correct person, Tenma Hase.

Konno comes back with the drinks and they sit down to eat. Haruto refuses to eat at first, but Konno forces him to anyway. He ends up liking the food, but breaks out into hives because his body "rejects" chicken breast. On their way home, Haruto apologizes for insulting her before, which she accepts with a smile. He suddenly says, "Don't say that your life has absolutely nothing to do with me", again referring to an earlier conversation. In hindsight, Haruto narrates that he wishes he had been more direct about his feelings.

Notes
