The ninetieth chapter (第90花 () , ninetieth chapter), or Episode 90 (90話 () , Episode 90), of Yoko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers sequel was published on February 17, 2019. The chapter was preceded by a short extra installment and was followed by chapter ninety-one on March 3. It marks the first appearance of Makoto Edogawa.

Amei Hanawa finally reads Haruto Kaguragi's emails, which her mother kept hidden from her. The next day, she begins attending Eitoku Academy. Oto Edogawa later informs Haruto that her father is returning home and wants to meet him.

Plot

Amei Hanawa returns home late at night. Her worried mother reminds that she is "not like other normal kids," meaning she cannot overexert herself. Amei begins crying and yells at her mother to show her the emails Haruto Kaguragi had sent her years previously. The next morning, Oto Edogawa's mother informs her that her father will be arriving later that day. She also tells her that he wishes to meet Haruto that weekend. Oto then heads to school, worrying about how the meeting will go.

Amei later causes a stir among the students by arriving at school with the Correct 5. Seeing Oto ahead, Haruto calls out to her. She ignores him, texting him not to yell so loud. He texts "Are you embarrassed?," causing her to yell a denial before running inside. The Correct 5 then show Amei their "Salon". She mentions a trip they went on together and suggests doing it again, "the six of [them]." Issa Narumiya and Sugimaru Eibi correct her, "It's seven of us, not six," meaning Oto would be invited. Amei appears taken aback that they would consider Oto a part of their group.

Haruto receives a text from Oto, informing him that her father wants to meet him. He immediately starts panicking, but his friends band around him for support. Amei loudly sighs and says the trip will have to be postponed, before leaving the room. She sits down in the hallway and cries, recalling the emails she read the previous night. At Oto's house, her father complains about their home being "cramped." He mentions Haruto, saying "Sounds like I need to meet this young man." To herself, Oto thinks "It'll be okay, right?"
