"I'm putting two ants on this paper airplane. This is you, Tsukushi. And this is me. Wouldn't it be nice if we could fly away?"
Junpei to Tsukushi

Chapter 86 (第86話 () ) is an installment of Yoko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers. It was first published in December 1995 in the manga magazine, Margaret.[1] The chapter was followed by the eighty-seventh entry of the series. It was also collected in the series' fourteenth volume.

Tsukushi Makino learns about Junpei Oribe's disguise that he wears at school. She finds him odd at first, especially his attitude towards the F4. However, he reminds her of herself, leading her to agree to be his friend.

Plot

Tsukushi Makino is surprised by Junpei Oribe's two drastically different appearances, saying "No wonder I didn't recognize you!" He laughs before explaining "Guys at this school are always fighting for dominance," meaning he wants to avoid any sort of altercation. Tsukushi sees the F4 walking up and quickly hides herself and Junpei. They then listen to the F4 talk about Tsukushi. She wonders if she was "a little hard" on Tsukasa Domyoji until he says "Why should I have to apologize to that dog?"

Tsukasa insults Tsukushi further by saying "She's just trash compared to me!" Sojiro Nishikado and Akira Mimasaka say similar unpleasant things about her. Junpei then suddenly shouts "Fool!" Tsukushi drags him away before they are seen. He is apparently clueless and Tsukushi advises him to stay away from them. Junpei then says "I'll just have to put up with it for two more years," which reminds Tsukushi of herself. He puts two ants on a paper airplane, telling her "Wouldn't it be nice if we could fly away?"

Tsukushi decides to skip class and Junpei follows her. She happens to see the same fortuneteller who warned her about Tsukasa before. The old woman tells her "Forget the past and move forward to find a little happiness in the future." Tsukushi, thinking she is a real fortuneteller, takes her words to heart and feels she has "been released from the spell cast by the F4." Junpei then asks "Didn't you ever want a friend?" Tsukushi remembers her prayer and wonders if she should have specified a girl, but accepts.
