Chapter 85 (第85花 () , Chapter 85), or Episode 85 (85話 () , Episode 85), is a chapter of the manga, Boys Over Flowers Season 2 collected in volume twelve. The chapter was published on November 25, 2018 simultaneously in Japan and America. It was followed by chapter eighty-six on December 9.

Back in Tokyo, Haruto Kaguragi and Airi Maya go to a cafe with Oto Edogawa. They discuss ideas on how to make Oto's mother accept her relationship with Haruto. Afterwards, they run into his and Airi's childhood friend, Amei Hanawa.

Plot

Just arriving back in Tokyo, Airi Maya visits Oto Edogawa at work. She gets off work shortly and goes with Airi and Haruto Kaguragi to a cafe. Haruto asks Oto about her mother, whom she says is angry but also really sad. Airi comments "It's all because of the bathrobe" and the two start to blush. Oto starts to talk about the cafe in order to change the subject. She then mentions the girl who asked for directions to his house. Airi tells her she was probably one of Haruto's "fans", though Oto is not so sure.

Haruto notices Oto's expression and asks if the girl did something. She replies that she only asked for directions. Haruto then says "If something happens, tell me right away." His new "dependable" side makes Oto's heart thump and she starts to feel hot, remembering their kiss. She eventually returns to the conversation. They all start to discuss ways to make Oto's mother accept her relationship with Haruto. Oto seems to have faith in her mother, saying "I think she'll come around."

Outside, Haruto tells Oto about their double date with Airi and Kaito Taira. Airi refuses to call it a date. Haruto then asks Oto not to give up on their relationship, telling her that he will gain her parents' acceptance. While they are talking, a girl walks up and excitedly says Haruto's name and hugs him. In shock, he grabs her and pushes her away from him. Airi recognizes the girl as Amei Hanawa. Irritated at being pushed away, Amei says "Is that any way to treat your first crush?"

• A few changes were made for Viz's volume version, including "Why do we gotta share one? I don't want any" to "Why do we gotta share? I don't even want one."
• The cafe featured in this chapter is the same one Tsukushi and Tsukasa go to on a date in chapter one hundred and thirty-five.
