The eighty-fifth chapter (
Tsukushi Makino meets Junpei Oribe, the brother of an old friend, who also attends Eitoku. Later, Akira Mimasaka and Sojiro Nishikado try to convince Tsukasa Domyoji to apologize. Tsukushi does not give him the chance.
Plot[]
Shingo Oribe introduces Tsukushi Makino to his younger brother Junpei Oribe. He smiles brightly, happy about meeting "Eitoku Academy's Joan of Arc." Junpei offers to walk Tsukushi to the station. She silently wonders why she has never seen him at school. Their conversation shifts to him calling Tsukushi "Joan of Arc" again. He delves into history, which leaves her flattered until he reveals "she was burned at the stake." At the station, they say goodbye to each other. Tsukushi thinks to herself, "Weird kid..."
The next day, Sojiro Nishikado rehearses how Tsukasa Domyoji should apologize to Tsukushi. He then says "Are you insane?" but Sojiro insists that he repeat the words back to them. Tsukasa tries to eke out a single "sorry" but only ends up declaring "I'll never apologize!" Sojiro and Akira Mimasaka remind him of all the reasons why he has to apologize. Kazuya Aoike walks up and is followed shortly by Tsukushi, who passes by Tsukasa with a single glance. She ignores him, acknowledging Kazuya instead.
Kazuya follows Tsukushi for a bit asking her if it is okay to ignore Tsukasa. She tells him "To me, he's just an invisible man." Kazuya then stops following her, apparently exhausted. In the stairwell, two girls say "Here comes Teen of Japan runner-up." Tsukushi is still in a bad mood and tries to pass by them, but they trip her. Suddenly, some books hit the girls. Tsukushi helps a student pick up the books. She turns around, recognizing him and says "You're not that kid?!" Junpei then fixes his hair and takes off his glasses.
