Chapter 84 (第84話 () , Chapter 84) is the first chapter included in volume fourteen of Yoko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers. The chapter was first released in November 1995 in the magazine, Margaret. It was followed by chapter eighty-five later the same month of November.

A huge fight occurs between Tsukushi Makino and Tsukasa Domyoji after he has attacked her friend, Shingo Oribe. She later goes to check up on Shingo at his house. There she meets his younger brother, Junpei Oribe.

Plot

Tsukushi Makino calls Tsukasa Domyoji a "worm. He responds "How can you talk to me like that?!," reminding her how he saved her life through mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Tsukushi begins rubbing her lips. Yuki Matsuoka tries to stop her saying "You're gonna rub your lips off!" Tsukushi says "Better than letting 'em rot!" Tsukasa then slams Tsukushi against a wall, telling her "You treat me like this just because some middle school dolt liked you?" She goes silent before saying "Get out of my way."

Tears in her eyes, Tsukushi tells Tsukasa "You'd never be able to understand how much I looked forward to this day." His eyes go wide and he attempts to say her name. Tsukushi, however, quickly runs out after yelling "I hate you!" Yuki follows her outside. Tsukushi questions "How can I face everybody after this?" and Yuki tries to assure her that everything will be okay. Later at home, she tears up about the situation. Her parents fantasize about her being sad about Tsukasa. She yells "Don't talk about that jerk!"

Tsukushi walks to Shingo Oribe's house, where she is greeted by his mother. Shingo has been resting in bed due to his strained neck. Tsukushi immediately apologizes to him. Shingo says "I guess I did gain something from getting hurt" and reminisces about confessing his feelings to her. He then shows her a photo of his girlfriend. Tsukushi jokes "You have a girlfriend, I shouldn't have wasted my time worrying about you." A boy enters the room shortly and Shingo introduces him as his brother Junpei.
