Chapter 75 (
After admitting her feelings for Haruto Kaguragi, Oto Edogawa feels guilty for hurting Tenma Hase. Haruto later invites her to a summer festival at his home. Oto's guilt continues to weigh on her when she arrives at his house.
Plot[]
When Tenma Hase suddenly grabbed ahold of her arm, Oto Edogawa starts to cry, feeling terrible for hurting him so much. He eventually comes to his senses, saying "This is wrong of me". Tenma pushes her out of the room as she begins to say sorry. He tells her "If I hear you say you're sorry, it'll feel like everything is truly over for use" and closes the door, despite her protests. Oto repeats his several times outside the door, telling herself "What a cruel thing I'm doing."
Oto returns home, feeling guilty for hurting others. She then sees Haruto Kaguragi's text and a yukata Kobayashi dropped off. Meanwhile, Haruto wonders why Oto has not replied yet during a work-out session with Sugimaru Eibi and Issa Narumiya. Issa starts to tease Haruto about wanting to work-out "to impress Edogawa." Haruto tells them about a festival to celebrate the end of summer. The guys are impressed until he tells them Oto has not responded yet. They tell him "That's not dating." Oto then finally replies, saying thanks and "see you tomorrow."
Dressed in her yukata, Oto meets up with Arisa Konno and her boyfriend Mi-tan, who have also received yukata from Haruto. Oto is noticeably distracted but when Konno mentions it, she blames her obi sash for being too tight. They arrive at Haruto's house, where an elaborate festival has been set up. Haruto greets them and blushes when he sees Oto, calling her "cute." He then mentions that he invited Tenma but he declined. Oto seems to take it normally, though "her expression was obscured by the shadows."
