Chapter 68 (
Airi Maya tells Tenma Hase that she likes him. He turns her down since he still has feelings for Oto Edogawa. Meanwhile, Oto decides to go to America with Kei Windsor. Upon hearing the news, Haruto Kaguragi rushes to the airport.
Plot[]
Oto Edogawa informs her mother about her break-up with Tenma Hase. Despite being sad, she says "I have no right to dictate your life" and agrees to let Oto go to America. At the airport, Tenma checks on Airi Maya after her massive nosebleed. She apologizes for what she said during the summer school, though he says he "[was not] bothered." Airi then mentions not answering Oto's phone call, because she has been jealous of her since she likes Tenma. He tells Airi that he is "not the one for [her]", because his first thought was of Oto's feelings.
At Airi's house, Kaito Taira and Haruto Kaguragi have looked over the documents in Kei Windsor's briefcase. Kaito remarks that Kei "must really hate [Haruto]," having plotted to get him disowned and now getting close to Oto. He advises Haruto to go explain the situation to Oto. Haruto refuses, not knowing what to say after the harsh words he yelled at her earlier. Airi shortly arrives home. She is depressed that she cannot apologize to Oto, whom she has just learned is heading to America. Haruto then immediately runs out of the house.
Kei greets Oto at the airport. She starts to hesitate after remembering a recent memory of Haruto. Oto decides she needs to speak to Haruto one more time, before leaving Japan. A dark look comes over Kei's face and he calls her "stupid" for feeling that way. He then begins insulting Haruto, calling him "a worthless human being" whose has "never had to struggle for anything." He grabs her arm and tries to force her to come with him. An out-of-breath Haruto arrives at the moment and tells Kei to let her go.
