Chapter 67 (
Airi Maya meets Tenma Hase at the airport. Meanwhile, Kei Windsor convinces Oto Edogawa to break off her friendships and go with him to America. Kobayashi later discovers Kei's research on the Kaguragi family and Oto.
Plot[]
The joint summer school finally over, Tenma Hase arrives back in Tokyo with the rest of the students. A Momonozono makes a comment about the Correct 5 leaving halfway through and Tenma defends them. Hitoshi Konoe then notices Airi Maya, who says she "wanted to make sure that [Tenma] arrived okay." Talking to Tenma, Airi's heart beats faster and her nose bleeds. Tenma immediately begins trying to get the bleeding to stop. However, his close proximity only makes it worse.
Oto Edogawa and Kei Windsor are sitting down at a cafe. She tells him that she previously avoided "getting too deeply involved with others", not wanting to hurt anyone. Kei's solution is to "just cut ties" with all her friends. He tells Oto that it is her duty to do so, if she wants to stop hurting them. Oto is particularly struck with Kei saying "Do you understand how painful it is for them to be with you?" She wonders whether she could really "cut ties" with everyone. Kei then asks her to come to America with him, saying "I'll be with you."
Upon returning to the Kaguragis' mansion, Kobayashi is greeted by the other servants, whom are also worried about Haruto Kaguragi. Kobayashi goes to leave a letter in Kei's room. He trips over a briefcase and begins picking up its contents. At Airi's house, Haruto tells Kaito Taira about his current situation. Kobayashi then enters the room with papers from Kei's briefcase, containing information on Haruto's family and Oto. He declares that Kei "has some ulterior motive." At Oto's house, she asks her mother if she can go to America with a friend.
