Chapter 62 (第62花 () , Chapter 62), also published as Episode 62 (62話 () , Episode 62), of Boys Over Flowers Season 2 by Yoko Kamio was published on December 10, 2017. It was released simultaneously in both Japan and the United States. It was followed by chapter sixty-three on December 24.

Haruto Kaguragi celebrates his eighteenth birthday with Oto Edogawa. She offers to give him "anything", to which he jokingly asks for a kiss. A crying Airi Maya then interrupts the two while they are in a compromising position.

Plot

Kaito Taira, Sugimaru Eibi, and Issa Narumiya are in Hawaii since Airi Maya suggested it as the perfect spot for Haruto Kaguragi's birthday. Now neither are with the group. Kaito then comments about things being "weird lately," to which Sugimaru says "Haruto being really weird is normal." Once the other two walk away, Kaito says he was referring to Airi not Haruto. At the summer school resort, Airi says "I'm so over Hawaii" to Tenma Hase and Hitoshi Konoe.

Konoe tells Tenma that Airi has been terrorizing the other Eitoku students by forcing them to wear inner-tubes in the ocean. Tenma correctly guesses that Airi cannot swim, which reminds him that Oto Edogawa also use to be afraid of the ocean. Airi says "Oto probably won't come to the ocean anymore", changing the lighthearted mood. Tenma then walks away after saying she would enjoy herself more if she learned to swim. Once they leave, Airi takes her head in hands and calls herself "stupid."

In Tokyo, Oto and Haruto sit down to dinner. Haruto tells her it is his birthday, before she can gather the nerve to tell him about Kei Windsor. Oto begins looking around for something to give him as a gift. She then offers to do "anything", so he asks for a kiss. Seeing her flustered, he smirks and says he is kidding. Oto becomes mad and tries to hit with a frying pan. She stumbles and ends up falling on top of Haruto. Airi walks into the apartment crying and the two quickly extricate themselves from each other. Meanwhile, Kei looks up at Oto's apartment from outside.

• A change was made to one of Kaito's line, going from "Haruto's been acting really weird" to "Things have been really weird lately."
• This chapter takes place exactly on August 5, which is Haruto's birthday.
