Seinosuke Amakusa's surprise confession to Tsukushi Makino leads to a brawl with Tsukasa Domyoji. She subsequently draws unwanted national media attention. Tsukasa later makes plans to enter her in a contest.

Plot[]

After announcing that he does not want follow in his father, Seinosuke Amakusa refers to Tsukushi Makino saying "I hurt her because of my carelessness." Tsukasa Domyoji looks to Tsukushi and says "Tell me he's not talking about you." Seinosuke approaches Tsukushi and asks her to be his girlfriend. Before she can answer, Tsukasa punches him in the face. Seinosuke is taken aback for a moment, but then smiles and says "I couldn't ask for a better opponent." A media frenzy ensues.

Rui Hanazawa drags a distressed Tsukushi away from the party. Outside, he asks her how she feels about Tsukasa and entreats her not to "hurt him too badly." As Rui walks away, Tsukushi thinks to herself "A person's feelings can't be changed overnight." The next morning, the brawl between Tsukasa and Seinosuke over Tsukushi has made national news. Susumu Makino turns on the television to find a news segment on their family. They are all shocked by the details the program has gathered on them.

Tsukushi trudges to her classroom as her classmates badmouth her. To herself, she says "I can't face this." The F4, meanwhile, talk about the news report on Tsukushi. Akira Mimasaka is surprised by her house, not knowing she was "that poor." Tsukasa declares "Tsukushi's too poor." He then begins making plans to enter her in a contest, deciding to "make [her] look like she deserves [him]." The other three say he is playing a "mean joke" since Shizuka Todo and Tsubaki Domyoji are previous winners.
