Chapter 58 (第58花 () , Chapter 58), or Episode 58 (58話 () , Episode 58), of the Boys Over Flowers sequel written by Yoko Kamio was released on both Shonen Jump+ and Viz Media's website. It was first published on October 1, 2017 before being collected in volume nine. The chapter was followed by chapter fifty-nine.

Stranded in the ocean, Haruto Kaguragi holds on to Oto Edogawa to keep her from drowning. She passes out just before their friends Airi Maya and Tenma Hase arrive to save them. Haruto returns to Tokyo later that night.

Plot

Stranded in the ocean, Haruto Kaguragi and Oto Edogawa are clinging on to one another. Oto is starting to feel dizzy from dehydration. Haruto tells her that their friends are on their way. Due to the dire situation, she says she is sorry for "that day at the bridge". Haruto notes her saying "If we don't make it home", which he calls "messed up" since it would mean they died. Oto then begins to lose consciousness and slips from Haruto's arms. The last thing she hears is him calling her name.

Oto wakes up in a hotel room surrounded by Airi Maya and Hitoshi Konoe. Crying, Airi hugs her saying "I'm so glad!" She is trying to get up to see Haruto, when Tenma rushes in and hugs her. Haruto sees this display, saying "So you got to reunite with your prince." Everyone begins discussing the rescue, but Oto had "blacked out" and does not remembering it. Issa Narumiya wants to celebrate though Haruto plans to return home shortly. Realizing she has not said thank you, Oto runs after Haruto.

She finally catches up to him as he is boarding a private jet. Oto says "thank you" and promises to help him if he is "ever in a jam." Haruto holds her to her promise. After he leaves, she continues standing there and Tenma watches her from afar. Later, Airi mentions Tenma's concern Oto and says she was "envious" over it. She then quickly changes the subject, but Oto does not realize why. In Tokyo, Haruto returns home to a locked gate. His driver abandons him, before Kobayashi tells him he is "no longer allowed" inside.
