Not to be confused with Chapter 45 of Boys Over Flowers Season 2.

"All the more reason that I can never forgive him for betraying me. Do you think he really loves Tsukushi?! The only girl he's ever loved is Shizuka. Now she's about to get married. Rui's just using Tsukushi to try to forget everything."
Tsukasa Domyoji

Chapter 45 (第45話 () ) is an installment of Yoko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers collected in the eighth volume of the series. It was originally published in Margaret's late February 1994 issue.[1] It was followed by chapter forty-six on March 5.

Tsukasa Domyoji vows to have Tsukushi Makino and Rui Hanazawa expelled from Eitoku Academy. Tsukushi eventually accepts her fate. The next day, Tsukasa makes his request to the principal just as his angry sister arrives.

Plot[]

Tsukasa Domyoji tells Rui Hanazawa and Tsukushi Makino that he will have them expelled from Eitoku Academy within two weeks. Tsukushi yells at him "What right have you got Tsukasa?!" but falls silent when he looks at her. After he leaves, Rui seems resigned to their fate, saying "I guess that's it." At home, Tsukushi's mother is distressed about the state of their finances. She puts all her hopes in Tsukushi remaining at Eitoku. Tsukushi does not have the heart to tell her that she will soon be expelled.

At Tsukasa's house, Akira Mimasaka and Sojiro Nishikado attempt to talk some sense into Tsukasa. He refuses to back out of it, still feeling the sting of betrayal. Tsukasa then declares "Do you think he really loves Tsukushi?!," saying that Rui is using her to forget Shizuka Todo. Tsubaki Domyoji walks in to see what is wrong, but her brother refuses to say anything. On their way out, Tsubaki snatches Kazuya Aoike without Akira and Sojiro noticing. She then forces him to tell her what has happened.

The next morning, Tsukushi overhears some students talking happily about her leaving. She thinks "I'll be happy to see the last of those jerks." Sakurako Sanjo then runs up to her cheerfully and says "I'll miss you so much when you're gone" with a smile. Another student announces "Tsukasa's gone to see the principal." Tsukushi closes her eyes and thinks "This is it. Goodbye Eitoku Academy." While Tsukasa is talking to the principal, Tsubaki storms through the school and angrily shouts his name.
