Tsukasa Domyoji and Tsukushi Makino venture into the jungle to search for the mysterious figure Tsukushi saw. She ends up falling in a swamp, but Tsukasa saves her. The situation helps Tsukushi express her feelings for Tsukasa.
Plot[]
In search of the mysterious figure, Tsukushi Makino and Tsukasa Domyoji venture into the jungle. He cuts his foot. Tsukushi proceeds to tear apart her clothing to fashion him some makeshift shoes. The pair laugh at the sight of "the great Domyoji without shoes." Tsukasa then holds out his hand which Tsukushi takes. Memories of New York City come flooding back, leading Tsukushi to ask why he sent her away. He reveals that he made a deal with his mother, which he now realizes was "too good to be true."
Tsukasa suddenly spots a light in the darkness. However, as they head towards it, Tsukushi finds herself falling into a body of water. She realizes she twisted her leg as she sees Tsukasa's hand reaching towards her. Tsukushi thinks of the interactions she has had with his hand, which were both gentle and cruel. Tsukasa then drags her back to the surface. She coughs several times before assuring Tsukasa that she is "all right." He candidly admits that he was "scared" and "thought [his] heart was gonna stop."
After hearing Tsukasa's words, Tsukushi makes up her mind in that moment. She tells him "Don't go to New York" and that she does not care even if they can never go home. Tsukushi then declares "I never want to be separated from you again." She realizes the point of this trip though she still does not who brought them there. Tsukasa embraces Tsukushi. They pull apart to look into each other's eyes, before kissing. Tsukushi says to herself "There is nothing else I need, just his hand."
