Chapter 19 (
After helping Airi Maya the other day, Oto Edogawa caught a cold. Unexpectedly, Airi Maya stops by to spend time with her. Despite Oto being sick, Airi takes her to a small event for Issa Narumiya held at a resort.
Oto Edogawa, who has a fever, stays home from school, while her mother leaves for a job interview. She wonders about Airi Maya and remembers her saying "don't hurt Haruto's feelings." Oto correctly guesses that the words mean that Haruto Kaguragi likes her. However, she quickly pushes the thought out of her head. The doorbell rings just as she attempts to go back to sleep. The unannounced guest is none other than Airi. She immediately makes herself comfortable in Oto's apartment.
Airi tells her that she came to "hang out" and stays, despite Oto's feeble protests. Her stomach begins to growl, so she takes a few nutritional supplements. Oto fixes her a proper breakfast, which Airi ends up liking. Airi tells Oto that she had her father put the abandoned factory up for sale. She then questions Oto on whether she likes Tenma Hase or not. Airi decides that "there's still hope for Haruto" and tells Oto to get dressed. Oto's protests once again go unheard by Airi, who forces her into a car.
They head to a resort, where Issa Narumiya will hold a flower arranging performance. Oto asks Airi why is she taking her there. Airi bashfully admits that Oto "could possibly become [her] friend, though [she] she might stab [Oto] in the back again". Oto tells her that she finds "this version" of Airi "easier to get along with." At the resort, the meet Kaito Taira and Sugimaru Eibi in the lobby. When Airi goes upstairs to change, Oto takes a walk along the beach. By accident, she meets Haruto, who says "I was just thinking about you".
