Chapter 199 (第199話 () , Chapter 199) is a chapter of Yoko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers. It was initially published in Margaret No.11 on May 5, 2001. The chapter was followed by the two hundredth installment of the series a month later on June 5. It was also included in volume thirty of Boys Over Flowers.

Tsukushi Makino arrives back in Tokyo with Rui Hanazawa. She is greeted by her friends, whom she informs about her break-up with Tsukasa Domyoji. Over the next few days, life slowly turns back to normal for Tsukushi.

Plot

Rui Hanazawa brings Tsukushi Makino to her apartment. There they are greeted by Akira Mimasaka, Sojiro Nishikado, Sakurako Sanjo, and Shigeru Okawahara whom were anticipating her arrival. Shigeru informs the surprised Tsukushi that her brother let them in earlier. Tsukushi shoos them out of the apartment for a moment so she can change clothes. Now alone, she thinks "I'm back to this empty place where I started." When she invites the others back in, all traces of her sadness are wiped away.

Shigeru and Sakurako start asking about Tsukasa Domyoji. Tsukushi informs them "He's not coming back." Akira asks "You're breaking up?," which she confirms. Sakurako looks over to Rui and questions why Tsukushi was with him. Rui says that he only went to New York because he was "worried" about her. Seemingly content with her decision, Tsukushi goes on to say that she is "doing [her] best to protect [her] space" and that they broke up because her life was going to "fall apart."

Afterwards, Shigeru is confused by Tsukushi's words. Sojiro tells her "You can't understand because you're one of us," meaning a part of the upper-class. Meanwhile, Tsukushi says goodbye to Rui. She reminds him that she loves Tsukasa. He reveals that he is fine with just seeing her smile. Over the next few days, Tsukushi pours herself into working and going to school. One day, on her way to work, she walks straight towards Tsukasa. To herself, she thinks "We're drawn together like magnets."
