Chapter 171 (
Tsukushi Makino finally spells out her feelings clearly to Tsukasa Domyoji. She insists on keeping their relationship a secret, which Tsukasa is against at first. Meanwhile, Sojiro Nishikado and Akira Mimasaka cook up a scheme.
Plot[]
On the school's roof, Tsukushi Makino stands before Tsukasa Domyoji as she gathers her courage to confess her true feelings. She hesitates when she sees his annoyed face and refuses to say anything. Tsukasa eventually "I just don't understand you." Tsukushi calls herself "simple" but her "environment makes things difficult." He asks again what it is she wants to say. Tsukushi deftly avoids answering by offering him a homemade lunch. Tsukasa manner immediately changes and he agrees to eat.
While eating, Tsukushi reveals that she thought he was dating Shigeru Okawahara again. He responds "I wouldn't go with a girl I don't like." Finally, Tsukushi asks "Will you go out with me?" Tsukasa nearly chokes on his food as they hear the door rattling. They quickly hide as another couple arrives. Tsukushi whispers to Tsukasa that she wants to keep their relationship a "secret" and that Amon Kunisawa is currently covering for them. Now angry, he scares off the other couple by shouting "Don't be ridiculous!"
Tsukushi, realizing everything will be ruined again, confesses "I want to be with you." Tears start falling when she says "I don't want us part like that again." Tsukasa tells her "I'd do anything for you," before agreeing to keep their relationship a secret. He then tries to kiss her, but she stops him and says "I'm at my limit now." Blushing, Tsukasa tells her "Don't say things like that!" Meanwhile, Sojiro Nishikado and Akira Mimasaka come up with a plan to bring the couple closer together.
