Chapter 167 (第167話 () , Chapter 167) is the final chapter collected in the twenty-fifth volume of Yoko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers. The installment was released in Margaret No.21 on October 5, 1999. It was followed by chapter one hundred and sixty-eight later the same month.

Tsukasa Domyoji searches everywhere for Tsukushi Makino. He eventually uses his pull with the police to aid in his search for her. She spends the day roaming around and thinking, before meeting up with Amon Kunisawa.

Plot

Tsukushi Makino and Yuki Matsuoka say goodbye to Yuki's mother. Thinking of the previous night, Tsukushi recalls the smiling faces of Yuki's family. She feels guilty, remembering "I almost tore that warm family apart." Tsukushi and Yuki head off in opposite directions. Now alone, she feels that the "inside of [her] head is a mess." She has always been able to "suppress [her] feelings" and that before she only "concentrated on not failing [her]self," but feels that that is hard to do now.

Tsukasa Domyoji barges into Tsukushi's classroom, but she is absent. In the hallway, he meets Sojiro Nishikado, Rui Hanazawa, and Akira Mimasaka and asks if they have seen Tsukushi. When he confirms that they have not, Tsukasa pulls out his phone and calls the police who put out a "special dragnet" for Tsukushi. Meanwhile, she is wandering around town after deciding there is no point going to school. She is initially oblivious to the presence of police officers, but then thinks nothing of it.

At Yuki's house, Tsukasa talks to mother and learns that Tsukushi spent the night there. As he is leaving, he says "I just want to say that I don't plan to cause your family any trouble." Tsukushi meets Amon Kunisawa, who suggests they go to the amusement park. The two talk back-and-forth in a relaxed, comfortable way. Though Tsukushi cannot help thinking of Tsukasa, she tells herself that "This pain in my heart. In time, it should go away." She then looks up to find a breathless Tsukasa standing before her.
