"You're not yourself, Tsukushi! You think I haven't noticed?! Your smiles don't reach your eyes anymore. I'd made up my mind to wait until you were ready to talk to me. But inside, a part of me was worried about what would happen to my family if you loved Tsukasa."
Yuki to Tsukushi

Chapter 166 (第166話 () ) of Boys Over Flowers by Yoko Kamio was first published in the manga magazine, Margaret, on September 20, 1999.[1] The chapter was included in the series' twenty-fifth volume. It was followed by chapter one hundred and sixty-seven on October 5.

Having decided to pursue Tsukushi Makino again, Tsukasa Domyoji confidently informs Amon Kunisawa "She's mine." He then spends the night searching for her. Amon, meanwhile, apologizes to Tsukushi and asks her on a date.

Plot[]

Tsubaki Domyoji says "So you knew how Tsukushi felt?" to Tama. She confirms it and asks if she plans on informing Tsukasa Domyoji. Tsubaki decides not to, saying "Tsukushi has made her decision." Tama hopes that Tsukushi will "find someone she can truly love." They are startled when Tsukasa enters the room. After a couple of moments, Tsubaki calls Tsukasa a "fool." Tama expects a fight to break out and tells them to go into the hallway. Smiling, Tsukasa instead says "I'm about to do the most foolish thing in my life."

At work, Amon Kunisawa is approached by a girl who asks if she can go to his place. He bluntly tells her no, leading her to question "Have you got a girlfriend?" He replies "That's right." Then a surprised coworker points out Tsukasa. Outside, Tsukasa asks "Are you in love with Tsukushi?" Amon laughs and says that he does not understand love but that he understands Tsukushi Makino. He follows this with "You can't understand, can you?" Tsukasa only smirks and says "She's mine." Amon feels annoyed.

Later, Amon visits Tsukushi at her workplace. He apologizes to her for being too "rough" with her. Amon then reveals that he has felt "happier" since meeting Tsukushi. Thawing, she tells him not to touch her in the future. Before leaving, he promises to meet her the next day. Feeling disturbed, Yuki Matsuoka eventually snaps at Tsukushi. Now crying, she says "To think I can't even be there for my best friend when she has problems of the heart." Meanwhile, Tsukasa calls Tsukushi's parents to ask about her whereabouts.
