Chapter 163 (
Shigeru Okawahara feels guilty after hugging Tsukasa Domyoji. Meanwhile, Tsukushi Makino runs into Tsubaki Domyoji, to whom she confesses that she loved Tsukasa. Afterwards, she calls Amon Kunisawa to accept his offer.
Plot[]
Tsukushi Makino says aloud "It makes me sad that I understood him," referring to something Amon Kunisawa said. A drunk old man answers her, causing Tsukushi to flee. She then sees Tsubaki Domyoji, who greets her with an excited hug. Tsubaki remarks on Tsukushi losing weight and immediately takes her by the hand upon learning that she has not yet eaten. First, Tsubaki takes her shopping. She informs Tsukushi that she had bought her a gift, but was unable to give it to her since she left.
Shigeru Okawahara breaks her embrace with Tsukasa Domyoji. She tries to play it off as joke and stands up. Tsukasa attempts to say something, but Shigeru cuts him off. She runs off until she is a considerable distance away. Shigeru apologizes to Tsukushi as she sits down on the sidewalk. She then says "I couldn't stand to see Tsukasa like that." Meanwhile, Tsubaki and Tsukushi are having dinner at a restaurant. Tsubaki apologizes for her mother's actions, but Tsukushi insists "It's nothing for you to apologize for."
Tsubaki describes to Tsukushi a type of love that starts to feel "natural." She then asks her "That boy. Are you going to date him?" Tsukushi apologizes for "failing" her. Tsubaki tells her "I will be satisfied as long as you are happy." After dinner, they say goodbye. When Tsubaki discovers Tsukushi chasing after her, she has her chauffeur stop. Tsukushi confesses to her that "[she] loved Tsukasa," but did not want to be forced to "say good-bye" again. That night, she calls Amon and says "I won't cross over the bridge."
