Chapter 162 (
A dejected Tsukasa Domyoji roams around while being followed by a concerned Shigeru Okawahara. Meanwhile, Amon Kunisawa tries to convince Tsukushi Makino to choose him by telling her that her memories will fade.
Plot[]
Shigeru Okawahara chases after Tsukasa Domyoji, who tells her to "go home." Two guys approach Shigeru and do not leave until Tsukasa glowers at them. Shigeru continues chasing after Tsukasa, reminiscing about when they met. Eventually he asks "What's the difference between that guy and me?" She does give him a straight answer, leading him to ask "Why did she take that guy with her?" Shigeru tells him that she had a "reason." Snapping, Tsukasa yells "What's wrong with being simple?"
Tsukushi Makino thinks of the last time she was at an airport with Tsukasa. At a café with Amon Kunisawa, she tells him "I'm pretty persistent once I come to like someone." She cites an old crush as an example. Amon correctly guesses the person, leading Tsukushi to wonder if he got information from Tsukasa's mother. He promises "I won't lie again." Now outside, Amon tells her "Memories will fade away." He asserts that she does not need to "cross that bridge" since she "belong[s] on this side."
Trying to cheer him up, Shigeru hands Tsukasa a cup of coffee. He is annoyed with her, but accepts it. Shigeru comments that this is her first time having "take-out coffee." They both conclude that it "Tastes awful!" Suddenly serious, Shigeru tells him "This is the norm" and that their world is the one that is "different." She then says "There's no reason for you to blame yourself for this," referring to Tsukushi. Tsukasa agrees and covers his face with his hand. Shigeru suddenly hugs Tsukasa and says "I'm here."
