Chapter 138 (
After his date with Tsukushi Makino, Tsukasa Domyoji is feeling exceptionally happy. Meanwhile, Tsukushi is determined to restore the lives of her friends. She therefore tells Kaede Domyoji that she will stop seeing her son.
Plot[]
Tsukushi Makino runs, thinking of her friends', Yuki Matsuoka and Kazuya Aoike. Meanwhile, Tsukasa Domyoji meets up with Sojiro Nishikado and Akira Mimasaka. He tells the pair that they should stop "fooling around" and "try falling in love" instead. Akira guesses that "something especially good" happened to Tsukasa. He says "I might be the happiest I've ever been," but he refuses to say exactly what happened. Akira and Sojiro become irritated with him, believing he called them just to "crow about it."
Nishida watches Tsukushi approach the mansion. Kaede tells him "Get ready to make the calls." When Tsukushi enters the room, Kaede has Nishida leave the room. Tsukushi quickly cuts to the chase, ignoring Kaede's feigned politeness. Accepting her conditions without hearing them, Tsukushi says "Please put a stop to all of this." Kaede easily puts things right with two short phone calls. Tsukushi then agrees to leave the mansion and promises "I will never again have anything to do with the Domyoji family."
Calling Kaede "despicable," Tsukushi tells her that "there are more important things [than money]." Kaede laughs, saying "You don't mean love or friendship, do you?" Tsukushi throws a cup of tea at her, before telling her "I'll take whatever you throw my way" but insists that she will not let her hurt her friends again. That night, Tsukasa is returning home when he spots Tsukushi standing outside in the rain. He gets out of his car and tries to grab her arm, but she pulls away. Tsukushi says "I can't see you anymore."
