Chapter 137 (第137話 () , Chapter 137) is an installment of the manga, Boys Over Flowers by Yoko Kamio. It was first published in late April 1998 in the tenth issue of Margaret. The chapter was included in volume twenty-one. It was followed by chapter one hundred and thirty-eight in May 1998.

Rui Hanazawa warns Tsukushi Makino that Kaede Domyoji is likely going to target her friends. She later learns about Yuki Matsuoka's father's transfer and Kazuya Aoike's family's bankruptcy. Tsukushi goes to confront Kaede.

Plot

At the emergency exit, Tsukushi Makino wonders if "[she] did something kind of extreme." She then blushes, remembering her kissing Tsukasa Domyoji. Tsukushi tries calming herself down, saying aloud that it is a "form of greeting in other countries." Rui Hanazawa, having overheard, realizes that she kissed Tsukasa. Tsukushi claims that it was just a "thank you gift," leading Rui to ask for one too. She quickly moves away, telling him to "hold it." Rui starts laughing, revealing that he was teasing her.

Rui asks Tsukushi about Tsukasa's mother. She tells him what happened the previous night. Rui finds it suspicious that nothing else has happened. He suggests that Tsukushi visit Yuki Matsuoka, thinking "Tsukasa's mother might be trying something there." Tsukushi dismisses it at first until Rui warns her that Kaede will "attack what [is] important to [her]." Meanwhile, Yuki leaves school early after the front office receives a troubling call from her mother, while Kazuya Aoike gets a similar distressing call.

Though Tsukushi does not want to believe Rui, she runs towards Yuki's house. She meets Yuki along the way. Yuki's upset mother reveals that her father received a job transfer, saying "He's as good as fired." Tsukushi asks them to "hold off packing" and rushes off again, telling Yuki "Don't worry." Shortly, Kazuya's car stops next to Tsukushi. Upset, he tells her about his family's bankruptcy. Meanwhile, Kaede receives a report from Nishida. She then asks him to prepare some tea for their guest.
