Tsukasa Domyoji decides to leave his home, wanting to protect Tsukushi Makino. She is against it and tells him that she does not want to be protected. Nevertheless, Tsukushi is happy about the sentiment and kisses him.
Tsukushi Makino argues with Tsukasa Domyoji over paying for herself. She insists "I don't want you to do things like that." However, when she opens her wallet to pay, she finds it completely empty. Tsukasa ends up paying for her half after all. He then asks if she plans on returning to school. Tsukushi does not see the point now, but does not want to go home either. She decides to drag Tsukasa to a game center. He complains calling it "a place for kids to play." Tsukushi begins playing the various games excitedly.
Tsukushi makes her way to the punching bag game and declares "I'll picture the face of the person I hate on this." Tsukasa questions her about her "pent-up anger," but she dodges the question. Tsukushi remembers the things Kaede Domyoji said the previous night as she punches the machine, getting the top score. Tsukasa then punches it without a glove, breaking it completely. Tsukushi quickly grabs him and rushes away from the arcade. Outside, she teases him about it by calling him a "brute."
Tsukasa becomes annoyed with Tsukushi for hiding things from him and asks "Am I so unreliable?" She answers "It's not that," before telling him to "forget about leaving home." Tsukushi elaborates that she does not want him to protect her since that would not make them "equals." Despite this, she tells him that what he said made her "really happy." She then tugs on his scarf to bring his face close to hers. Tsukushi gives a kiss, calling it a "thank you." Now flustered, she decides to head back to school on her own.
