Chapter 116 (第116話 () , Chapter 116) is a chapter of Boys Over Flowers written and illustrated by Yoko Kamio. It was released in the eleventh issue of Margaret in May 1997. The chapter was followed by one hundred and seventeenth installment also in May. It was included in the series' eighteenth volume.

After her apartment's floor collapses, Tsukushi Makino runs into her old friend Seinosuke Amakusa. He calls Tsubaki Domyoji, who brings Tsukushi back to her house. Once she wakes up, Tsubaki invites her to stay there.

Plot

Seinosuke Amakusa says several things in succession, before noticing that Tsukushi Makino's head is bleeding. She tells him "So much has happened" just as her stomach starts to growl. Seinosuke picks up his things and invites her to his place, saying "If you're standing in a place like this, that must mean you have nowhere to go." Tsukushi walks with him to his apartment, where he has been living since the previous year. As he treats her wound, Seinosuke talks to her about the fight he had with his father.

Tsukushi tells Seinosuke about her situation, which makes him laugh since she was at "rock bottom" the last time they met. He then asks her about Tsukasa Domyoji, having heard about his engagement. Tsukushi reveals that he broke it off, but confesses "I don't dislike him, but I just can't open up my heart." After making her dinner, Seinosuke gives her some encouraging words about everything working out. Tsukushi falls asleep at the table. Seinosuke then makes a call at a phonebooth.

The next morning, Tsukushi wakes up to find Tsubaki Domyoji watching over her. She thinks she is dreaming until Tsubaki explains about Seinosuke's call. Tsukushi then realizes that she is at the Domyojis' and tries to leave. Tsubaki grabs her and asks "Is it Tsukasa that you don't want to see? Or is it my mother?!" Tsukushi answers "Both of them!!" Tsubaki then reminds her of her promise to fight Kaede Domyoji and says "Let's get her to realize the good in you. Let's live here together."
