Chapter 114 (
Rui Hanazawa, Sojiro Nishikado, and Akira Mimasaka visit Tsukushi Makino to celebrate her living alone. Kaede Domyoji comes and accuses her of being behind the engagement being called off. Tsukushi stands up for herself.
Plot[]
Tsukushi Makino and Yuki Matsuoka finish painting and re-papering the walls of her apartment. Sitting down to eat, Yuki asks her about Shigeru Okawahara and Tsukasa Domyoji breaking up. Tsukushi dodges the question though Yuki keeps pressing her. In a flashback, Shigeru is walking out the door when she says "I didn't answer your question about why Tsukasa broke up with me. He said it's because he still loves you." The next day, she walks to school trying not to think about what Shigeru said.
Tsukushi walks up to Akira Mimasaka and Sojiro Nishikado, who inform her that Tsukasa is absent. She then breathes a sigh of relief. Kazuya Aoike runs up and asks her "What's it like, living alone?" Sojiro and Akira offer to come visit her, though she tells them no. On the way home, Tsukushi stops by the trash pick-up to look for furniture. Rui Hanazawa happens to see her, so she pretends to be organizing the trash instead. He then walks with her to her apartment, where they are greeted by Akira and Sojiro.
After inviting the guys inside, the doorbell rings again and Tsukushi opens the door to find Kaede Domyoji. Revealing that the engagement has been broken, Kaede asks her "Just how far do you intend to go to interfere with the Domyoji family?" Tsukushi becomes angry and stands up to Kaede, eventually telling her to leave. After closing the door, the three guys cheer for Tsukushi. Rui asks her "What are you going to do, Tsukushi?" Bolstered, Tsukushi declares "I'm going to fight that lady."
