Prim Chanikarn Tangkabodee

Chanikarn Tangkabodee (Thai: ชนิกานต์ ตังกบดี, born February 20, 2004 in Bangkok, Thailand), also known by her nickname Prim (Thai: พรีม), is a Thai actress. She is well known for her roles in Blacklist, The Gifted: Graduation, and Enigma. Tangkabodee played Kaning in the 2021 drama, F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Tangkabodee was born on February 20, 2004 in Bangkok, Thailand. She is of Chinese descent.^[1] She received her secondary education from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School. In 2022, Tangkabodee was accepted into the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy at Chulalongkorn University.^[2]

Career[]

As a child, Tangkabodee became an actress and appeared in over thirty commercials. In 2014, she was in two films, Timeline and Chiang Khan Story, playing younger versions of main characters. She had a small part in drama Luead Mungkorn as a younger version of Janie Tienphosuwan's character the following year.^[3] Tangkabodee followed with appearances in U-Prince: The Handsome Cowboy and Kamin Gub Poon (both 2016)^[4] and Ngao Arthun (2017).^[5] Tangkabodee had a supporting role in the drama, Love Destiny in 2018.^[4] The following year, she appeared in My Love from Another Star, a remake of a popular Korean drama.^[6] Tangkabodee had a supporting role as Melon in Blacklist the same year after signing with GMMTV.^[7] In early 2020, she appeared in Nang Sao 18 Mongkut with Toy Pathompong Reonchaidee.^[8]

Tangkabodee reunited with Blacklist costar Nanon Korapat Kirdpan in The Gifted: Graduation later in 2020.^[9] Starting in late 2021, Tangkabodee had a major supporting role as Kaning in F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers.^[10]^[11] In 2022, she had a starring role in the ensemble drama, Good Old Days.^[12] She reunited with Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn in supernatural thriller Enigma in 2023.^[13] Tangkabodee will also star in Phro Thoe Khue Rak Raek with Dew Jirawat Sutivanichsak.^[14]

Tangkabodee's role in F4 Thailand was revealed by Tontawan Tantivejakul on her second Instagram account in December 2020.^[11]
In May 2021, she was interviewed for a video on Chanagun Arpornsutinan's YouTube channel.^[16]
She played Metawin Opas-iamkajorn's love interest in the music video for his song, "Closer."^[17]
On July 23, 2022, Tangkabodee played Kaning again for Shooting Star Concert. She performed "Silhouette" with Opas-iamkajorn.^[18]

Tangkabodee was cast in Military of Love starring Krist Perawat Sangpotirat until it was cancelled in September 2020.^[19]^[20]

She was originally set to reunite with costars Jirawat Sutivanichsak, Hirunkit Changkham, and Kay Lertsittichai in Home School (2023), but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.^[21]

Kanaphan Puitrakul also appeared in Blacklist (2019).

She appeared in Nang Sao 18 Mongkut (2020) with Chanagun Arpornsutinan.

Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, Vachirawit Chivaaree, Neen Suwanamas, Chinnarat Siriphongchawalit, Ploynira Hiruntaveesin, Yongwaree Anilbol, Kay Lertsittichai, and Jirawat Sutivanichsak also appeared in Good Old Days (2022).

She reunited with her F4 Thailand love interest Metawin Opas-iamkajorn in Enigma (2023), which was directed by Patha Thongpan. Chivaaree also a guest role in the drama.

Tangkabodee and Sutivanichsak will play love interests in A Love So Beautiful (2024).
