Boys Over Flowers Premium Event (花より男子~Boys Over Flowers プレミアムイベント) was the second event held in Japan for the Korean drama, Boys Over Flowers. It was held on September 5 and 6, 2009 at Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in Yokohama. The concert was attended by the main cast of the drama with Kim So-eun and Lim Ju-hwan as special guests.

Background[]

The event was announced on June 5, 2009. Tickets became available on June 8 for registered fan club members on the official Japanese website of Boys Over Flowers.[2] On June 25, tickets were opened to the general public.[3] Due to popular demand, an additional date was added to the event.[4] The artist Howl was announced as one of the performers but later cancelled.[5] Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-joong, and Kim Joon were present at the September 5 performance with special guests Kim So-eun and Lim Ju-hwan.[6] Kim Bum, who was unable to attend that day, sent a video message.[7] Kim Bum and Ku Hye-sun joined Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-joong, and Kim Joon for the September 6 performance.[8] T-max and SS501 performed on both days.[9][10] Kim Hyun-joong was absent from the press conference.[11]

Customers who preordered the DVD from Brokore received a reduced price and three Boys Over Flowers trading cards.[12]

Several items were produced to be sold at the event and on the official website. There was also merchandise aimed more towards the actors, such as posters and mouse pads. Photos of the event were sold in several sets by actor or were available all together.[15]

  • Hanryu Fondue, a variety show about Korea, filmed part of the September 6 performance. It aired on Tokyo MX on October 18 and KBS Kyoto on October 24.[16]
  • Ku Hye-sun performed "Around the Alley" (角を曲がれば () ), a song she composed herself.
