Boys Over Flowers Last Event: Graduation (花より男子~Boys Over Flowersラストイベント-卒業-) was the third Japanese event related to the Korean drama, Boys Over Flowers. It was held on April 25, 2010 at Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall, the location of the previous event. Kim Hyun-joong was notably absent from the event due to his schedule.
Background[]
Last Event was first announced on December 24, 2009. It was revealed then that Kim Hyun-joong was unable to appear due to scheduling conflicts. Fan club members of the official Boys Over Flowers Japanese website were able to purchase tickets the same day the event was announced.[2] Ticket purchasing was opened to the general public on January 18, 2010.[3] An accompanying event, "New Generation Live in Yokohama," was announced in February, featuring artists Shinee and f(x) as well Kim Joon with T-max, Kim Bum, and Ku Hye-sun.[4] Ku dropped out of both events due to a schedule conflict with her film, Magic,[5] but was ultimately able to appear.[6] T-max member Park Yun-hwa cancelled both of his appearances due to preparations for his military enlistment.[7]
The New Generation event was held the night before the Boys Over Flowers event.[8] Last Event opened with "Paradise" by T-max. A talking segment followed, including a mock graduation ceremony. Kim Bum and Shinee also performed and a video message from the absent Kim Hyun-joong was played.[9]
