Summary[]

Tsukushi Makino and Tsukasa Domyoji are alone on a ship. Her feelings begin to overwhelm her due to their close proximity. She goes off on her own to look for food. In the kitchen, a bag of flour falls on her head. She is taking a shower when the power suddenly goes off. Tsukasa hears her scream and comes to her.[3] Tsukushi is mortified when he sees her naked. He calmly hands her his shirt. Later, after eating, Tsukushi starts to feel sick. Tsukasa carries her to the bathroom and pats her back. Afterwards, he mentions Rui Hanazawa and says "He could probably make you happier than I could." Tsukushi rushes after him shouting "Didn't you tell me that you would make me happy?"[4]

The ship stops at an island. Tsukushi and Tsukasa search the shore for people and sustenance. She is surprised to find him so "reliable" in this situation. While watching the sunset, Tsukushi realizes how much she wants to touch Tsukasa. She asks for his hand, which she holds against her cheek. Embarrassed, she rushes off and sees a mysterious figure in the jungle.[5] They go in search of the figure. During their walk, Tsukasa reveals that he made a deal with his mother which was why he turned Tsukasa away in New York. He now knows that it "was too good to be true." Tsukushi falls into a swamp and Tsukasa rescues her. She suddenly tells him "Don't go to New York." They then embrace and kiss.[6]

After holding each other, Tsukushi and Tsukasa pull away to head further into the jungle. He kicks someone, who turns out to be Sojiro Nishikado. He and Akira Mimasaka bring the couple to a mansion, where Shigeru Okawahara admits that she was responsible for everything. He is angry with her about putting Tsukushi in danger. However, Tsukushi actually feels grateful.[7] Over dinner, Tsukasa reveals that he plans to break away from his family. He tells Tsukushi that it is not "just for her" since he has never felt close to his parents. Shocked, she has belated response but eventually shouts "I'm going to do my best!" The group heads back to Tokyo the next morning. They are greeted by a crowd of reporters.[8]

Amongst the chaos, Tsukasa is stabbed by a man and collapses. Though some reporters apprehend the man, others take advantage of the situation to get a closer shot. Tsukushi grabs a camera and smashes it to the ground. She then grabs Tsukasa's arm and drapes it around her shoulders as she says "Get out of the way." At the hospital, Tsukasa is rushed into surgery. He dreams of a time he was sick as a child. Tama gave him a stuffed rabbit from his mother to comfort him. Rui Hanazawa comes into the waiting room to speak to Tsukushi. She finally breaks down saying "I wonder if he's going to die." They are shortly surprised by the arrival of Kaede Domyoji whom says "I didn't think we'd ever meet again."[9]
