Boys Over Flowers: F4 Special Edition - After Story (꽃보다 남자 F4 스페셜 에디션 - 5년후 이야기) is a music drama, or extended music video, produced by Mnet. It is a sequel to the 2009 Korean drama, Boys Over Flowers. The first two episodes aired on April 28, 2009 on Mnet and its website,[2] followed by the final two on May 19, 2009.[3]

After Story stars returning actors Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-joong, Kim Bum, and Kim Joon. It was produced at the time of the album F4 Special Edition, which features music by the four stars.[4] Clara Lee plays a small part as the ex-girlfriend of Kim Joon's character.[5] The full music video was also released on YouTube by Stone Music Entertainment.[6]

The story follows the F4 five years after the events of the original series.

Following the ending of Boys Over Flowers, Kim Joon contacted Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-joong, and Kim Bum to bring everyone together again. This lead to the release of the F4 Special Edition soundtrack and eventually After Story, a twenty-five minute music video.[7] Production was completed in secret.[8] A teaser video for it was released in April 20, 2009, followed by an official announcement days later. The first two episodes were released on April 28, 2009 on Mnet's website.[1][9] The final two episodes were originally expected on May 5, but were pushed back to May 19, 2009.[3] Clara Lee had a small part as Kim Joon's love interest.[5][10]



F4 Special Edition

The album, F4 Special Edition, was produced concurrently with the extended music video. It was released on April 28, 2009 to coincide with the airing of the first two parts of After Story.[4] Two more songs were released on May 19 for the final two parts.[11] Lee Min-ho, Kim Bum, Kim Joon, and Kim Hyun-joong all recorded songs for the album.[12] Additionally tracks by T-max, SS501, and Lee Ji-hye are featured on the album.[13][14]
