This individual was the girlfriend (
Biography
She married her husband, who spent half the year overseas presumably on business. As such, she was spent quite a bit of time on her own.[1] At some point, she began dating Akira Mimasaka though it was more akin to a fling. He brought her along on the F4's annual trip to Tsukasa Domyoji's island.[2]
Physical appearance
She was an older woman, possibly in her early to mid-thirties. Her overall look was mature, which was probably one reason Akira was attracted to her. Her clothes were fashionable, reflecting the financial status of her husband. She also had dark hair that she wore up.
Personality and traits
Characterized as a typical older woman bored with her husband, she had a fling with at least one younger man, namely Akira. Her husband was likely rich, which was probably why she was not in a hurry to leave him. She also seemed to resent him for being away so much.
Behind the scenes
Character notes
- She appears in two chapters of the manga, Boys Over Flowers.
- In Hana Yori Dango: The Musical (2016), Nami Tamaki plays Akira's date during the song "Wonderland." She bears a resemblance to Akira's girlfriend from the manga.
Portrayal

How she appears in the anime
- In the anime, she is voiced by Miyuki Nikaido (
二階堂 美由紀 ) for two episodes. Her appearance and actions are kept the same as the manga, though she appears slightly more. She is introduced by Akira to Tsukushi in "Be Still My Beating Heart." In "The Crime and Punishment of a Kiss," she is shown on the return trip on Kazuya's boat. It is unknown how long she and Akira date, though it can be assumed that the relationship is only short-term anyway.
